Welcome to The Informed Voter. This site exists because I believe
that the key to a successful democracy is an informed electorate,
and right now our elections are still like a high school popularity
contest. Okay that's it for the soap box. Here is how it works. Step 1) Utilizing volunteers, we gather the local ballots as soon as they become available, and get contact information for all the candidates. Step 2) The candidates are contacted via E-Mail asking them what they believe are the 3 top issues of their campaign. Step 3) Each candidate is given an opportunity to submit 200 words about themselves, and 100 words on each issue. Step 4) On a preset date the results are made public on this website. That's it, a simple apples to apples comparison of each of the candidates. |
